ready boy? yes mom!

DS is more than ready to go to school everyday for 6.5 hours and I am one proud mommy. Last week, we had the chance to experience how their 1st day would look like. They had a sort-of-1st-day-of-school rehearsal hee hee. I am amazed by the facilities this school has to offer. Apart from their teachers with MA/MS degree, paraprofessional, ESL experts, Speech Pathologists and Technology Experts, each classroom is equipped with plasma tvs , digital cameras and computers. Mini-S showed signs of independence and was able to socialize well with his classmates. He even asked why we had to stay with him, I told him it was just a practice day at school. Let’s see how he behaves on his 1st official day. Now, let me label his school stuff :) .

friday fillins

1. My car is waiting for me to be driven hee hee.
2. Entries on baba’s 1st two weeks at school is coming up next.
3. Lately, things seem to be very positive.
4. The bathtub is one of my favorite ‘hiding’ places.
5. What happened in Vegas should be left in Vegas.
6. This current idea of mine is not impossible!
7. And as for the weekend, tonight I’m looking forward to bonding with the boys afterall it’s my break, tomorrow my plans include a simple celebration with my family and Sunday, I want to start cleaning the house in preparation with my folks arrival!

H.I.A.T.U.S.

I would probably take some time off blogging because of the busy Thanksgiving week. I realized just now that we are going to host this year’s Thanksgiving Dinner, err more likely lunch because me and DH are lining up for the huge Black Friday Sale as early as 12noon probably. I am trying to finish all of my blogging tasks this weekend so I would start with a clean slate next week but before I go on blogging hiatus, let me be the 1st to greet you a Great Thanksgiving Week. Thank you for visiting this blog and here’s something nice to ponder over the week. (snagged from Alpha.)

Live below your means.
Live a comfortable life, not a wasteful one. Do not spend to impress others. Do not live life trying to fool yourself into thinking wealth is measured in material objects. Manage your money wisely so your money does not manage you. Always live well below your means.

Build a comfortable, loving household.
Home is where the heart is. Your home should be comfortable and lined with love. It should be a place that brings the whole family together.

Focus more on less.
Think in terms of Karate: A black belt seems far more impressive than a brown belt. But does a brown belt really seem any more impressive than a red belt? Probably not to most people. Remember that society elevates experts high onto a pedestal. Hard work matters, but not if it’s scattered in diverse directions. Focus on less and master it all.

crucial minutes

Hello everyone!

I am not supposed to be doing anything online today to concentrate on my research paper but then I also have some online dues hee hee :) . I have some funny and sweet stories about DS and the snowy day we had last Monday but that would have to wait until I finish my research paper. Here’s wishing everyone a Happy Weekend and leaving you with this beautiful email message I got from a college friend and photos of my boys in the snow :) Cheers!

smiling moon

One thing we missed about Pinas is the endless laughter despite endless problems.
Relatives ready to watch over your kids when you are dead tired to babysit them.
Cheerful friends verging on crazy friends while eating plates over plates of oily dishes.

Warmth, love and simple HappYness…are just some of the few wonderful words to describe the Pinoys and Pinas, in general.

We wish we saw this especially mini-Stripe who loves counting the stars at night.
I heard that here the moon was frowning? Siguro nahohomesick, magpapasko na kasi...

In the United States, the effect will be inverted and will appear as a frown.

David Widdowson, from astronomy calendar website Astrovisuals, said the heavens might be trying to send us a message to shrug off bad financial times and be happy.

And perhaps it should tell Americans being frowned upon to have a long, hard look at themselves…

errands day

Today, I was out running errands left and right.
Basically, completing most of DS’s school registration requirements, which is due on Friday. We started off with his pediatrician visit for his complete Physical Examination and some paper works his Pedia needs to sign. Anyways, he also got his blood extraction today and as expected I wasn’t antsy at all because I know DS’ pain tolerance is quite high, he got that from me. His dad is the exact opposite, he may be very brave in almost everything except hospital needles lol!

The doctor who extracted his blood was so amazed by mini-S’ courage and gave him a set of Ironman stickers for being an IronBoy hee hee. Here’s sharing a couple of photos. He was wordless during the entire routine check-up :) .

Should We Stay or Should We GO?

Should We Stay or Should We Go?
Now, that is the big question.

I have mentioned to you about our West Coast vacation. We have bought our plane tickets already but something more important came up and we need to think hard if we need to prioritize this trip and proceed with it. Honestly, when DH and I were talking about postponing the trip, I felt really sad. We’ll decide this week whether we should go or not.
