Friday Prayer

November 21st, 2009

Before hitting the sack last night, DS requested us to transform all his 16 transformers into cars/helicopters/planes and tanks. He thinks cars are useful than autobots and decepticons, so they looked like these. He carefully placed them on our bed and told the baby sheep to watch over them while he sleeps. He said the baby sheep is like mama and that the transformers are his baba’s angels. We were not allowed to move them. So we camped in at DS’s room the whole night.
Stripe promised to wake me up at 4 but it was only at 5am that he successfully got me out of the bed. Here I am, finishing the last few stretches of this quarter’s case study proposal which has to be submitted by 7am today.

I swear I am going to blog like crazy today but for now let me leave you with a very sensible prayer and a charming picture :) . Have a happy Saturday. Toodleloo!

Dear Lord,
So far I’ve done all right.
I haven’t gossipped,

haven’t lost my temper,
haven’t been greedy, grumpy, nasty, selfish, or overindulgent.

I’m really glad about that.

But in a few minutes, God, I’m going to get out of bed.
And from then on,
I’m going to need a lot more help.
Help us God to be good. Amen.

my home style

November 19th, 2009

DH and I are just crazy about having our own home. DH is the kind of husband who enjoys reading home interior designing magazines and would frequently visits similar shops from high end down to thrift stores. While I am the kind of person who loves neating up our place. We are the kind of couple who would devote more budget on home decorations than game consoles and techie stuff. Anyhow, I chanced upon this Ikea know your style site and my style is Scandinavian Zen! Click on the photo for larger image and you can also check your style HERE.

I may have gained weight from all the celebrations. Blame it all to our non-stop eating here and there but I can’t seem to care anymore. God proved to me (again!) that YES, Life is Beautiful. VERY beautiful :) . On to the next chapter of my err our lives.

Should We Stay or Should We GO?

November 16th, 2009

Should We Stay or Should We Go?
Now, that is the big question.

I have mentioned to you about our West Coast vacation. We have bought our plane tickets already but something more important came up and we need to think hard if we need to prioritize this trip and proceed with it. Honestly, when DH and I were talking about postponing the trip, I felt really sad. We’ll decide this week whether we should go or not.

yay for Monday!

Manic Monday (1116)

November 16th, 2009

You have a brain tumor. Though there is no discomfort at the moment, this tumor would unquestionably kill you in six months. However, your life can (and will) be saved by an operation; the only downside is that there will be a brutal incision to your frontal lobe. After the surgery, you will be significantly less intelligent. You will still be a fully functioning adult, but you will be less logical, you will have a terrible memory, and you will have little ability to understand complex concepts or difficult ideas. The surgery is in two weeks.

How do you spend the next fourteen days?

Every person you have ever slept with is invited to a banquet where you are the guest of honor. No one will be in attendance except you, the collection of your former lovers, and the catering service. After the meal, you are asked to give a fifteen-minute speech to the assembly.

What do you talk about?

You have won a prize. The prize has two options, and you can choose either (but not both). The first option is a year in Europe with a monthly stipend of $2,000. The second option is ten minutes on the moon.

Which option do you select?
