GLEE
December 30th, 2009
Have you ever felt so complete and no matter how many downfall that may come your way, you still feel your steady and still? That is how I am feeling right now. Nope, I am far from having a perfect life but I never felt this secured and happy. The presence of my folks are added icing on my cake life. All I want is consistency in what I am feeling right now.
Spread happiness everyone! Oh and yes, what adds to my current happiness now is the box of Dried Cherries I received from a friend. Don’t you just love post-Christmas presents, especially if they are food
. Which reminds me to pack the fruit cake I failed to send to my friends. These are never too late for their New Year’s eve dinner, right? Perfect to match their turkey, ham and wine. Yum yum! Cheers to a better 2010 for all of us.

more direct, more channels.
December 27th, 2009
Good Morning! It’s Monday once again and the very last Monday of the year. I am happy that we are finally switching to Direct TV. As I have mentioned in my previous entry, I am bound to tick off every single item in my to do list and this is the next. To file all of our billing statements and contracts of agreement. So yes, we have decided not to renew with our old cable service provider and switch to Direct Satellite TV.
Direct Satellite TV has more channels and more flexibility in terms of our usage. A relative in California who has been a user of Direct TV in California was the one who convinced us because of their raving. Glad we were convinced, now I cannot wait for the Direct TV crew to come to our town home and install so we can start watching more channels.
How about you, are you ready to make that big switch???

DS is turning 4 in a week’s time, yey
.
DH and I have been changing plans on what to do on his birthday. We originally planned for a party at home with family and some friends but then again, both of us are too busy to organize one. Also, when we asked the little boy, he’d rather spend his day at a kid friendly resort than spend it with adults and a few kids chattering and eating non-stop! Yesterday, I was able to check on this place where we could celebrate his birthday. I am so happy that some of his favorite cartoon characters are part of that theme park, where is it? I’d let you know after his birthday

zoo stop
December 22nd, 2009
I have so many things to share but this week’s unusually busy for me.
The highlight of this week is my son’s 4th birthday and because DH and I are super busy this week, we opted to celebrate his birthday according to how he wants instead of a birthday party (read: Zoo, Museum, Arcades, Theme Parks etc… hee hee), but schedule will be dictated by us
. Obviously, we cannot celebrate his birthday on his birthday itself , so we started today by bringing him to a bigger zoo he never visited yet. He was so happy and got to feed some animals too.
Thanks for checking!

fire proof your kids
December 22nd, 2009
Wow, it’s been a while since I wrote some of DS’s antics. He sure does continue to entertain us with his growing vocabulary and funny antics, but I always get preoccupied with other blogging stuff before I get to blog them. Maybe, I should keep a tab next time.
Anyways, FIREPROOF is a movie which was highly promoted in our church during the week of Valentines. They even gave out free movie tickets and offered to babysat our kiddos so the couples can have their alone moments. Anyways, DH opted to rent out the DVD and we watched it almost a week before Valentines. While watching the movie, DS blurted out during the couple fights scenes,
“NOT AGAIN, FIGHTING AND FIGHTING, WHY CAN’T THEY BE BESTFRIENDS MOM?” LOL!
Then when the husband finally got the divorce papers from his wife, he cried.
Mini-S said: DO NOT CRY, IT’S OK BUY A NEW PAPER!!!
Also, I think my son now has the very concept of a romantic relationship uh-oh! One time, he went home from his gym class and told me that he has a girlfriend!!! He refers to the only girl in his class as his “girlfriend” or “that’s my girl!” yikes! But the sweetest thing of all was when he told me that his classmate, Jonathan is his bestfriend and he would often tell us:
“Jonathan and I will save each other, We’re Bestfriends mom!”
(uhm save from what ethan? lol!)
Hee hee.
And guess what he was doing in the picture? He was trying to operate his dad’s heart. He wants to be a heart surgeon!

Nice Mommy Sites.
December 20th, 2009
No one ever says that Mommyhood is an easy-peasy and breezy job. More so, if you are a super hands-on and stay-at-home Mom. One can be very sensitive when you hear comments about how you raise your kids, right?
While most conservative mothers would say that all it takes is our gutfeel and less of what the books say, I still believe that reading Mommy books, web forums and advices from our support groups can contribute to our being a good mother.
They say that There is NO WAY to be a perfect mother and 1 million ways to become a good one.

he saves a cat!
December 18th, 2009
Another milestone for our ever-adventurous and inquisitive 3-year old.
For many days now, DS has been telling me that there is an ‘alone cat’ in our neighbor’s house. You see, he gets to walk in the patio every morning while I watch him from the inside. Until one day, I asked a maintenance staff to check on our garbage disposal. As usual, DS was so inquisitive and talkative that he kept telling the staff that there is an ‘alone cat’ in the neighbor’s house. The staff was forced to knock the sliding door of our neighbor. True enough, I heard a purring cat or kitten! DH who was here, was asked by the staff if he knew about our neighbor. He only said that he had not been seeing anyone there, nor a car parked outside of their unit for several days now. Apparently, the cat was left inside without anyone to feed him. After a while we learned that the cat was starved for 3 weeks already and the management took custody of him until the owners are back.
DS was too proud to tell me: ‘SEE MOM, E SAVES THE CAT!‘
Oh yes, I guess he did
moral of the story: Always listen and believe in your kids, they never lie, at least at 3! Teehee.

on being a SAHM
December 18th, 2009
I wish I could capture Mini-Stripe whenever he begins to do his monologue. I tell you, that’s enough entertainment for me lol! He can act up to 4-6 characters with all matching actions and expressions. I will try to find a way where I could sneak and he won’t notice me taking videos because when he does, he immediately stops and would be very shy.
These are the days I am thankful for being a Stay-at-Home-Mom, nothing beats these moments. No amount of salary where I could buy any designer bags I want nor appraisal performance bonuses or recognitions from my bosses could pay the happYness and contentment at the thought that I am with my son on his biggest milestones in life
And that is just about every day in his small happy world.
