lucky number 16
February 17th, 2010
Never Say Never is very true to its word. You see, I have a lot of blogs which are of course my own domains and I told my friend last year that I would stop opening another one because all of my current blogs at that time are streamlined. If I open up another one, I would be running out of things and topics to write. But then again, I was wrong, I opened yet another one a few weeks ago with topic very different from the others, now my friend has been laughing his butt off hee hee. Now that I have more than 10 blogs to maintain and counting, it is but wise for me to consolidate them under one web hosting.
At first, I was wary at getting one because migrating my blogs to a new house, in this case a new web host will be too technical for me. However, after reading and checking out the web hosting rating and guides at WebHostingGeeks.com, I think I can go through it in a breeze. I just need to research some more and go over this web hosting directory for budget hosting and cheap web hosts available online. I want something affordable yet very reliable.

Feelings are much like waves.
We can’t stop them from coming,
but we can choose which one to surf.

Real Girl Lyrics
by: Mutya Buena
If I had one chance to, in my life again,
I wouldn’t make no changes, now or way back when (yeah)
and if everything turns out, the way i hope it goes,
But I cant wait to find out, what it is that God knows.
But I don’t wanna think about whats gonna come around for me,
I’ll just take it day by day, cuz it’s the only way,
to be the best that I can be
I never pretend to be something I’m not,
You get what you see, when you see what I’ve got,
We live in the real world, I’m just a real girl,
I know exactly where I stand,
and all I can do is be true to myself,
I don’t need permission from nobody else,
Cuz this is the real world, I’m not a little girl,
I know exactly who I am
And nothing’s ever perfect, there’s no guarantee,
And if I knew the answers it would put my mind at ease (no)
So I’ll just keep on going the way I’ve gone so far,
And maybe I’ll end up tryin to catch a fallin star (yeah)
But I don’t wanna think about whats gonna come around for me,
I’ll just take it day by day, cuz it’s the only way,
to be the best that I can be
I never pretend to be something I’m not,
You get what you see, when you see what I’ve got,
We live in the real world, I’m just a real girl,
I know exactly where I stand,
and all I can do is be true to myself,
I don’t need permission from nobody else,
Cuz this is the real world, I’m not a little girl,
I know exactly who I am
Baby this is who I am,
Don’t need you to understand,
Cuz everything is right where it should be,
it wont be long til you know about me,
Cuz I don’t give a-a
Even when I’m out of love
Cuz everythings just how it should be,
And it wont be long til you know about me,
I never pretend to be something I’m not,
You get what you see, when you see what I’ve got,
We live in the real world, I’m just a real girl,
I know exactly where I stand,
and all I can do is be true to myself,
I don’t need permission from nobody else,
Cuz this is the real world, I’m not a little girl,
I know exactly who I am
I never pretend to be something I’m not,
You get what you see, when you see what I’ve got,
We live in the real world, I’m just a real girl,
I know exactly where I stand,
and all I can do is be true to myself,
I don’t need permission from nobody else,
Cuz this is the real world, I’m not a little girl,
I know exactly who I am

Before the weekend…
February 6th, 2010
** got this wonderful piece from Robert Alejandro. So nice I had to share it here. **
When I was a kid, my mom like to make breakfast food for dinner every now and then. And I remember one night in particular when she had made breakfast after a long, hard day at work….On that evening so long ago, my mom placed a plate of eggs, sausage and extremely burned biscuits in front of my dad. I remember waiting to see if anyone noticed! Yet all my dad did was reach for his biscuit, smile at my mom and ask me how my day was at school. I don’t remember what I told him that night, but I do remember watching him smear butter and jelly on that biscuit and eat every bite!
When I got up from the table that evening, I remember hearing my mom apologize to my dad for burning the biscuits. And I’ll never forget what he said: “Honey, I love burned biscuits.”
Later that night, I went to kiss Daddy good night and I asked him if he really liked his biscuits burned. He wrapped me in his arms and said, “Your Momma put in a hard day at work today and she’s real tired. And besides – a little burnt biscuit never hurt anyone!”
Life is full of imperfect things……and imperfect people. I’m not the best at hardly anything, and I forget birthdays and anniversaries just like everyone else. But what I’ve learned over the years is that learning to accept each others faults – and choosing to celebrate each others differences -is one of the most important keys to creating a healthy, growing, and lasting relationship.
And that’s my prayer for you today. That you will learn to take the good, the bad, and the ugly
parts of your life and lay them at the feet of God. Because in the end, He’s the only One who will be able to give you a relationship where a burnt biscuit isn’t a deal-breaker!We could extend this to any relationship. In fact, understanding is the base of any relationship, be it a husband-wife or parent-child or friendship!
“Don’t put the key to your happiness in someone else’s pocket – keep it in your own.”
God Bless You….. Now, and Always……
So please pass me a biscuit, and yes, the burnt one will do just fine! And PLEASE pass this along to someone who has enriched your life… I just did.
Being happy doesn’t mean everything is perfect. It means you’ve decided to see beyond the imperfections.
“Lord, catch me off guard today. surprise me with some moment of beauty and pain so that at least for the moment I may be startled into seeing that your are here in all your splendor, always and everywhere, barely hidden, beneath, beyond, within this life I breathe” – Frederick Buechner

Kewl ride, would you?
February 5th, 2010
Why does it always have to snow on a weekend, worst not just a simple snow but a snow storm with blizzard threat here and there, i despise it! Ack! What can I do, it’s comes with the Winter season when I used to look forward to before, but not anymore. So instead of weekend filled with fun and trips, we forego with the plan and just went ahead with our grocery list and went to an early mass. Sigh, I am stuck at home with my noodle soup and throw away blanket while the husband is very busy checking out Kewl Metal accessories for his motorcycle. Having a car or bike in a place where there are 4 seasons can be very costly when it comes to maintenance, you have to have different tires for these different seasons. Thank goodness as DH is the kind of guy who does not buy on impulse and makes sure that his purchases are well thought-of before checking out his cart. I guess this is all for now as the weather is making me lazier and sleepy. I’d spare you off from my random and senseless ramblings. Back to my blanket in a few. Have a good weekend everyone!

CNY, here we come!
February 4th, 2010
Are you all excited for the New Year? I meant, the Chinese New Year hee hee. I know I know, we should all be thinking of the NOW and that it is in reality, 2010 but I could not wait for this Chinese New Year because if I have missed out on being consistent with my New Year’s resolution, I have a 2nd chance to do it again on Chinese New Year. 2009 has been a hectic but fruitful year for me and 2010 has been great so far. DH and I have been contemplating on huge savings and investments this year. If 2009 was all about expenses and independence, 2010 will be for investments and financial security. That is why, I have been researching on this rare gold coin investment found at Us Gold Bureau. A friend of DH’s has already entered this investment venture and is quite making money out of it. Although this news kept us excited, we wanted to do more research before we take the plunge and buy gold bullion.
