are you insured?

July 30th, 2010

Dear hubby got his first ever ticket for traffic violation here (for beating the red light) and it costs a whopping $150! Whoa! I did not get mad at all because I know for a fact that it wasn’t his fault. In fact, we were just sent a letter and a photo of our car during the violation. That traffic signs must be really confusing. Now, that is something that makes me really scared when driving here and speaking of, we need to renew our auto insurance soon and my name should be included on it if I want to be able to drive the car.

However, on the process, DH wanted to change provider and so I began my research on auto insurance and found this reliable site the Auto Mobile Insurance. You see, their site has a comprehensive and comparable listing of auto insurance from different online providers. It would make your research very easy to conduct as they have done every detailing for you. Check out the site for more information if you are in a dilemma on where to get those auto insurance.

Planning a Wedding Online

July 29th, 2010

Guest post from: Blaire Smith

Living in such a small town, not close to any large city, it was somewhat difficult to find the perfect wedding dress. None of the dresses in local shops were anything I would ever consider wearing, and I didn’t have the time to visit Chicago every weekend looking for dresses. I was able to use the hughes net internet service to find a few different dresses that I knew I wanted to try on. Once I had picked out these dresses, it was much easier for me to go to the shops that I knew carried them in Chicago. I even called ahead to make sure they had the dresses available before I went there and wasted my time.

The majority of my bridesmaids lived across the country from me, so I was constantly sending them emails of different dresses I liked, looking for their input. I was also able to send them several different bridesmaids’ dresses that I wanted them to consider. Since I let each of them pick out their own dress, they had a lot of fun sending me different dresses they liked. Had I not been able to use the hughes internet Ohioconnection organizing a trip to all get together to shop for dresses would have been a nightmare.

Always Using Sunblock

July 29th, 2010

Guest post of the week by Fletcher Peterson

When the summer time comes I stock up on sunblock. I have a two year old who can live in the water no matter what the temperature is outside. In the summertime I let him go out as much as possible, but not without the sun block. I keep buy the spray bottles and keep the lotion in my bag at all times. You can never be too safe when it comes to the rays of the sun. I always hear things about children who have gotten bad sun burn or have developed skin cancer simply because they did not use precautions when playing the the sun.

When I get ready for vacation and set my Florida alarm system and I make sure that before I close the door the sunblock is with me. A simple solution to saving your child’s skin is contained in one small bottle that costs less than ten dollars. No matter who makes fun of me or taunts me for smothering my child with sunblock, it is one safety tip that I will always give to every parent I meet.

I never buy Gucci on regular price, I wait for the outlet sale price and when I say SALE, I mean huge SALE! The Memorial Weekend sale was not a good opportunity to buy one because the collections were limited and not one tickle my fancy. I hope any of these 2 would go on sale this Fourth of July. I am so gonna buy one maybe in this color or white.

Car Insurance

July 25th, 2010

Happy Sunday everyone!
I am swamped this week and I am not supposed to be wasting as little time as I could or else I would end up getting swamper and swamper and I would be cramming on the weekends when I am supposed to be relaxing. Anyways, I need to declutter and avoid activities that would not help me such as too much Facebook checking and lingering so long at sites that would not even help me. One of the things I need to accomplish this week is my driving license, yes after so much prodding from the DH and after so much anticipation on my part, I will try my very best to take the written exam at DMW today. You know what finally made me decide to take it? Our lexie’s (that’s what we call our car) auto insurance which is about to expire anytime next week.

In order for me to be included on our car insurance, I should at least have my student’s driving license. However, DH is also in the process of researching on the best auto insurance available, there might be some better options for us out there and CarInsuranceRates.com is where he turned to when he needed to shop for insurance quotes. The site has a wealth of information on auto insurance plus the fact that they are the largest site for these kinds of insurance quotes.

Home Security

July 25th, 2010

Since I am already working 5 days a week, at least, our home is empty for most of the day. My brother was kind enough to offer and set-up not only a driveway alarm but a security camera he got from Home Security Team that he can monitor from time to time. Find it creepy that he can also monitor our movements teehee, but we’d know if he’s watching or not lol! How’s that for you? Are you for or against it?

Seriously though, here’s a site http://www.broadviewsecurity.com/ which gives out very informative security tips and reliable consumer reports on why every house would benefit from a home security device system. Not only will your house be protected, you will also gain the confidence when you are out of your own home. Can you imagine a worry-free day because you are assured that even if you do not come home early or on schedule, you do not have to think about house break-ins, burglar and stuff? I guess every house should have this security system and that these burglars would be aware about it.

The Bachelorette

July 12th, 2010

Guest post brought to you by Taylor Everett

Nowadays, on channels through satellite deals near Austin, reality shows fill the airwaves and clutter the vast majority of channels. But, instead of turning your nose up at the thought of actually watching them, try giving The Bachelorette a chance. The pursuit of love is popular among society, and there are plenty of shows out there that do nothing but follow a certain celebrity searching for love. However, with The Bachelorette, the circumstances are less trashy and they are real and genuine people on the show truly searching for love, instead of seeing the never ending line of trashy groupies who just want to be seen on television and/or with the famous rock star. If you are looking for some delicious eye candy to ogle and root for, this show provides just that. And the travel destinations they go to are beautiful. So far, this season, they have traveled to Iceland and Turkey and several other places. With a house full of guys trying to win one girl’s heart, there is bound to be drama. As she lets more and more guys go, the tension rises and things start getting even better. The house is filled with so many different types of guys and it leads to them butting heads. In the end, it’s a great show to follow while you hope for your favorite hunk to win the best prize life could offer, someone’s heart.
