Snuggling under the Christmas blanket

December 30th, 2010

Guest post written by Betsy Sawyer

Even though I really love the holidays, it feels like it’s never really the holidays until my kids are home for the holidays and we’re all watching Christmas specials on TV like Rudolph and a Charlie Brown Christmas. I think that they’re even more into the holidays now that they’re in college than when they were little girls because I think they appreciate the holidays more. Plus that also means a month that they have off for college. Read the rest of this entry »

after this

December 27th, 2010

Yes, after I have written this article, I am going to my closet and start my purging tasks. Let’s see if those apple bottom still fits me otherwise I will give it to my friend who would be needing it. Even some purses and shoes that have been sitting in my closet for more than a year need to be revisited and see if I could sell a few. It is always a good practice to undergo a general cleaning before the new year starts. It gives you that fresh kind of feeling. Cheers to 2011.

Online Auction

December 27th, 2010

I have participated a real auction once when I was still working in an embassy, but I guess I will give this online auction another try. Sounds interesting hmm. The live auction I participated more than 5 years ago was such an overwhelming experience, I did not get to bring home any item :P . Probably, in this online auction I will be lucky enough. Let’s see.

And just like that, Christmas is over. It took most of us more than a month’s worth of preparation yet the occasion seemed to be very short. So how was yours? Did Santa give you the most coveted blackberry playbook? DH surprised me with 2 purses this year, my oh my I may have been extremely good this year to deserve them.

Anyway, in just a few days from now, we shall embark into a new year and here’s sending all positive vibes your way. Have a good one!

From our Home to Yours.

December 24th, 2010

We still haven’t bought a gift for DH’s boss who’s been more than just an employer but a friend and family too. So before I choose which bluray player we should get for him and his family after reading these bluray reviews, let me wish you all Peace, Joy and Love on your Homes this Christmas. I will go offline for 2 days as I want to give my TIME to 2 boys I loved the most. I’ll see you after Christmas. Have a good one everyone!

What’s in your Feeds?

December 22nd, 2010

My Google Reader feeds subscription includes websites and blogs that talk about finances, growing money and real estate. So when I woke up this morning those words were the first thing that came to my face. It is hard to do it especially if you have little money but like what the finance experts say, it is the best time to convert that little money into a pot of gold. While most investors would put their money in stocks options rather than real estate because of the worsening real estate industry, my Aunt thinks otherwise. On the other hand, her husband think that it is the best time to buy gold bullion, yes, investing in gold bullion are very in now. Check out US Gold Bureau for more.

Can you see what LL is carrying in that photo?
Yikes, I have been dreaming of that Marc Jacobs Stam hobo bag for 2 years now and I think I am giving in to my dreams after a short trip in Nordstrom! Uh-oh! Even the husbo loved it, he used to not agree with my taste in purses but when I told him I want this black bag, he said that he’d loved to give it to me on Christmas. But then again, I can save up for it or should I start sending out Christmas cards to my fairy god mothers hee hee. Let’s see if I’ll have this on my 32nd birthday!
