Blogs VS Books
January 6th, 2010
DH and I have decided that it is about time we lose weight and what did we do this morning, jogging! Yes, when everyone else is gearing away from the chill factor that Autumn brings, here we are pushing our butt off every morning to jog around. I hope we can be consistent on this and that we begin to notice the fruits of our jogging hee hee. Anyways, how are you? I saw this image at imgfave.tumblr and yes while we all love blogging, it is still best to read books
Have a good weekend everyone!

note to self.
January 6th, 2010
I am slowly withdrawing from spending too much time online. For several weeks now, I have been spending so much time away from my laptop and internet, per se. Everything seems beautiful
. And yes, I don’t check Facebook as much as I did before. When I go online, it’s all about completing my blogging tasks.
However, I may have prayed too much that God must misinterpreted my goal to just spend at least 4 hours online per day that a very “SMART” neighbor accidentally pull out and cut all our cable connections (internet, phone and tv cable!) all because he planted a couple of trees on his backyard. Yes, I was out of the loop for almost 4 days and it was terrible. Terrible because I had to rush some expiring blogging tasks and because I am doing a research side job which 10 pages deadline needed to be finished on Sunday.
On a different note, I have been very distracted lately. I lack focus hence, the procrastination and lack of time management which boils down to lack of discipline. When oh when will I ever have a constant discipline, with my eating habits, with my time management, with prioritizing things?
Okay, let’s start that today. A 30-minute exercise a day would probably do the trick. Let’s see.

10 New Year’s Resolution.
January 5th, 2010

Every year, I always make it a point to write my resolution but it is only this New Year’s that I am taking my resolution VERY SERIOUSLY. I need to change and rediscover the BETTER Version of ME.
Briefly, here are my top 10 New Year’s Resolution:
- Lifestyle change that would lead to shredded weight and healthier lifestyle. No dieting this time just eating right and regular exercise. Discipline, motivation and self-control is the key. Just a little junkfood and chocolates won’t hurt. Target weight 110-115
. - Patience, patience, patience. Listen more, talk less. Give more, receive less, get nothing.
- Saying NO to Procrastination, thus proper time management and change of priorities.
- Turn into a Sensible Shopper. Stop buying junk, quality over quantity, less is more and investment shopping is my motto in 2010.
- Being more careful with my “association”, thus, less exposure in the internet and online circle. Only family and my core group deserve my confidence and privies.
- Gucci, LV, Burberry, Marc Jacobs and Balenciaga are the only bags that deserve my “purse fund”, if I can’t afford any yet, I won’t buy a 2nd choice, I will keep saving to aim for these brands. Hee hee.
- More quality time with DH, I mean quality time.
- Focus on DS academic growth, no freaking out on his mischievousness, and prepare only healthy meals, same goes with DH.
- LOVE The ROLES in life that HE Gives me.
- Lastly, more time in prayers and church.
Oh and more time for myself, a short vacation with my girlfriends at resort hotels oregon would be very much welcome in 2010.

one more time.
December 11th, 2009
…just because I think I am having a very delayed quarter-life crisis 3.
“A WOMAN SHOULD HAVE ….
enough money within her control to move out and rent a place of her own even if she never wants to or needs to…
A WOMAN SHOULD HAVE ….
something perfect to wear if the employer or date of her dreams wants to see her in an hour…
A WOMAN SHOULD HAVE …
a youth she’s content to leave behind….
A WOMAN SHOULD HAVE ….
a past juicy enough that she’s looking forward to retelling it in her old age….
A WOMAN SHOULD HAVE …..
a set of screwdrivers, a cordless drill, and a black lace bra…
A WOMAN SHOULD HAVE ….
one friend who always makes her laugh… and one who lets her cry…
A WOMAN SHOULD HAVE ….
a good piece of furniture not previously owned by anyone else in her family…
A WOMAN SHOULD HAVE ….
eight matching plates, wine glasses with stems, and a recipe for a meal that will make her guests feel honored…
A WOMAN SHOULD HAVE ….
a feeling of control over her destiny…
EVERY WOMAN SHOULD KNOW…
how to fall in love without losing herself..
EVERY WOMAN SHOULD KNOW…
HOW TO QUIT A JOB, BREAK UP WITH A LOVER, AND CONFRONT A FRIEND WITHOUT RUINING THE FRIENDSHIP…
EVERY WOMAN SHOULD KNOW…
when to try harder… and WHEN TO WALK AWAY…
EVERY WOMAN SHOULD KNOW…
that she can’t change the length of her calves, the width of her hips, or the nature of her parents..
EVERY WOMAN SHOULD KNOW…
that her childhood may not have been perfect…but it’s over…
EVERY WOMAN SHOULD KNOW…
what she would and wouldn’t do for love or more…
EVERY WOMAN SHOULD KNOW…
how to live alone… even if she doesn’t like it…
EVERY WOMAN SHOULD KNOW…
whom she can trust, whom she can’t, and why she shouldn’t take it personally…
EVERY WOMAN SHOULD KNOW…
where to go… be it to her best friend’s kitchen table…or a charming inn in the woods…
when her soul needs soothing…
EVERY WOMAN SHOULD KNOW…
what she can and can’t accomplish in a day… a month…and a year…”

H.I.A.T.U.S.
November 27th, 2009
I would probably take some time off blogging because of the busy Thanksgiving week. I realized just now that we are going to host this year’s Thanksgiving Dinner, err more likely lunch because me and DH are lining up for the huge Black Friday Sale as early as 12noon probably. I am trying to finish all of my blogging tasks this weekend so I would start with a clean slate next week but before I go on blogging hiatus, let me be the 1st to greet you a Great Thanksgiving Week. Thank you for visiting this blog and here’s something nice to ponder over the week. (snagged from Alpha.)
Live below your means.
Live a comfortable life, not a wasteful one. Do not spend to impress others. Do not live life trying to fool yourself into thinking wealth is measured in material objects. Manage your money wisely so your money does not manage you. Always live well below your means.Build a comfortable, loving household.
Home is where the heart is. Your home should be comfortable and lined with love. It should be a place that brings the whole family together.Focus more on less.
Think in terms of Karate: A black belt seems far more impressive than a brown belt. But does a brown belt really seem any more impressive than a red belt? Probably not to most people. Remember that society elevates experts high onto a pedestal. Hard work matters, but not if it’s scattered in diverse directions. Focus on less and master it all.Be here now.
Right now is the only moment guaranteed to you. Right now is life. Don’t miss it.

Should We Stay or Should We GO?
November 16th, 2009
Should We Stay or Should We Go?
Now, that is the big question.
I have mentioned to you about our West Coast vacation. We have bought our plane tickets already but something more important came up and we need to think hard if we need to prioritize this trip and proceed with it. Honestly, when DH and I were talking about postponing the trip, I felt really sad. We’ll decide this week whether we should go or not.
yay for Monday!
