My Son’s 1st Birthday
August 25th, 2010
Thanks for the guest post by Esteban Vinson
My son’s first birthday was coming up and I wanted to make an extra special birthday. I knew that he was absolutely in love with Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, so that was definitely going to be my theme. After watching the Disney channel on a daily basis I remember a commercial that was based around birthdays that I found on hughesnet satellite internet. My mother found out via her hughes internet service Alabama that you can visit their website and print everything out including invitations, party ideas, and so forth.
All I needed to do was go to playhousedisney.com and look for the birthday section. They even had ideas for birthday cakes, printable invitations, and place mats. Everything was Mickey Mouse themed and I was able to print it at my home printer.
After I had the basic idea planned I was also able to look for cups, plates, and other birthday ideas online as well. I found a few different sites that sold the whole birthday package themed around Mickey Mouse. I am really glad I used the hughes internet service in Montana to plan my son’s first birthday. It was easy, convenient, and very affordable.

almost Christmas.
August 22nd, 2010
Wow, this year flies so fast. I can already feel the Christmas spirit from where I am.
Looks like I have to order postcard printing this early so I would not miss out on special people. You see, every year, I make sure to send out Christmas greeting cards to close friends and relatives but this year, I plan to do a different thing. I plan to send out Christmas Postcards with our family photo on it. That would save me more time, sweat (from writing) and it would be a nice excuse to update them of how we look like now tee hee.

repair pal
August 22nd, 2010
I truly believe that car these days is becoming more of just a lucrative investment but a necessity. I cannot imagine a family without one especially when you have little kids and especially when you are residing in a place where public commute is not that family-friendly, if you know what I mean. However, with buying car, comes the maintenance responsibilities and expenses such as regular tune-up, timing belt, brake job etc… etc…
So you have to make wise decision when purchasing one especially when you decide to buy a second hand one. Speaking of, an friend of ours who recently bought a 2nd hand honda accord at such a very affordable rate, told us that he has been paying for San Francisco auto repair services every month because of the many damages that comes with the car. Although, he has been incurring so many expenses already, he does not want to let go of the car because of some sentimental reasons. And of course, he is just grateful to have discovered RepairPal.com that gives him auto repair centers in the neighborhood that offers affordable rates.

TGIF!
August 21st, 2010
What a way to cap off our tiring work week. After working out for almost an hour, here I am gobbling the dairy queen blizzard that the husband brought home along with some electric grills he picked up from the store.
So how are you?
I have the blogging mojo right now but I promised the husband that I will spend movie night with him. We begin with Serendipity
. Have a good weekend everyone!

Scholastic and Athletic
August 18th, 2010
Thanks for the post, Arthur Lawrence
When I was in high school, I was a huge jock. It became no surprise to me when my daughter expressed interest in a variety of sports at a young age. She loved running and the feeling of pushing one’s self to win. She was talented and natural athlete. However, one sport she loved more then anything and so, she focused all her energy into field hockey.
She played all through out middle school and high school. She was introduced to the game by the neighborhood kids when they would play in the streets. When she scored her first goal as a freshman on the varsity team, I knew then she was something special. I was a soccer player and I knew nothing about the sport. I was from the South where no one even knew what the game was or even knew that it existed. So it was interesting seeing the pride and excitement in her eyes when it was game day.
This fall she starts college and we will be there watching her start as a freshman at State. She was offered a full scholarship of account of her grades and athletic achievement,. I am so excited for her. In fact, we are about to head out the door to drop her off for orientation right after I set the Home security system.

serious filing
August 18th, 2010
I did some serious filing later this afternoon. It has been in my laundry list of to dos but I haven’t gotten the chance to do it. I am scared by the pile of papers I need to sort but then it only took me a couple of hours to finally finish it. While filing, I saw this flyer about a reliable medical assistant school. I still clearly remember how eager I was to take medical courses before but look where my destiny lead me, I have a work outside of the medical field. Hee hee. Loving this twist of life.

Happy with my iPhone.
August 17th, 2010

Remember my entry about how I Dear Hubby surprised me with an iPhone for our anniversary gift? Well, guess what, my relationship with my iPhone has just gotten stronger and closer every single day. I could not believe how I could manage all my blogs, emails etc… without one. On the other hand, DH is raving about how great his BlackBerry is. But for me, touch phone, in this case, the iPhone is the bomb. Even when you read these cell phone reviews, the best cell phone in town is the iPhone.

Organic Life
August 16th, 2010
My dad is so much into organic and herbal medicines and drinks. He gave me a list of things to buy so we can include it in the package we are sending them back home. He also asked me to check on this site: myherbalife.com. He also wanted me to purchase some organic coffee along side his usual my herbalife supplies.
I guess I am following his footsteps because I tried ordering a few packs of myherbalife as the prices were really cheap. They shipped it the same day. My dad’s package arrived as well and I am including it in the package. I’m pretty sure my dad’s gonna be happy with it. Apart from these, I have about 5 packs of herbal teas. Oh goodness I cannot live without my herbal teas. DH has been teasing me that if he was a coffeeholic, I was a teaholic. That’s us
.
My herbalife is the logon site for Herbalife Independent Distributors which they can use to manage and process orders for their Herbalife account.
